Check Your Version

Every platform shows the version in the app, under Settings, About.

  1. Open Settings from the cog at the top of Your machines.

The top of Your machines: your name, the Sign out icon and the Settings cog

  2. Click About.

Settings, About, showing the Software card with the version, the build date and Check for updates

FieldMeaning
VersionThe build you have, named by its build date and time, for example 2026-10-11-2304
BuiltThe build date, the platform and the processor type
Check for updatesAsks the update service whether a newer version is available. See Updates.

The same About card is on the About tab of the session menu while you are connected, so you can read the version without leaving your desktop.

The Windows install folder also holds a separate program, About Computle (Remotle). It opens even when the Remotle app will not, so you can read the version and see what is stopping Remotle from starting. Support may ask you to open it.

It has no Start menu shortcut. To open it:

  1. Open File Explorer and go to C:\Program Files\Computle\Remotle Client\bin.

  2. Double-click ComputleRemotleClientAbout.exe.

It runs as you, without an administrator prompt. Opening it a second time brings the existing window to the front.

About Computle (Remotle): the version and computer name, the banner Remotle can start, then the Launch, Sign-in and updates, Connectivity, Logs and crashes and Services sections, with End stuck Remotle, Copy details, Open logs and Close

The window refreshes itself every two seconds. At the top it shows Computle (Remotle), the version and your computer’s name. Below that is a banner that says whether Remotle can open, then five sections.
